Branden (which means Fires or Burn) is an ode to women in exile. By engaging in a poetic conversation with them, filmmaker, slam artist and musician Lisette Ma Neza weaves a visual and sound tapestry of songs, photos and interviews. From the embers of the violence they have experienced, these five women of all ages stand tall, on fire but above all alive.
