SPECIAL EVENT
Australian artist Helen Britton has spent twenty years collecting plastic, glass and other objects. These insignificant things for some are real treasures for her; memories snuggled in your hands, souvenirs looking at you waiting to come alive. Through her travels from New Castle (Australia) to Idar Oberstein (Germany), Helen Britton reveals her roots, talks about her fascinations, her drawings, photographs and especially her jewellery, small masterpieces that come out of a modern cabinet of curiosities. Captivated, the director talks about her encounter with the artist, the questions that emerge from contemporary jewellery and the learning of seeing. Beyond the portrait, Hunter from Elsewhere documents a field that is little talked about, but with a lot to say.
