VEERLE BAETENS

Veerle Baetens, born in 1978 in Brasschaat, is a Belgian actress and director. She trained at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and first made a name for herself in musicals before breaking through on television with the series Sara. She gained international recognition for her role in Alabama Monroe (2012), which earned her several awards, including the European Film Award for Best Actress. In 2023, she directed her first feature film, Het smelt, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Mercedes Sader is a Uruguayan producer, director, and art curator. For over 12 years, she has produced internationally awarded documentaries with Coral Cine, as well as more than 40 experimental short films. Since 2014, she has been the director of the Black Gallery, where she supports both Uruguay’s artistic heritage and contemporary creation. Her most recent film, The Children of the Mountain (2024), focuses on the artist Pablo Atchugarry. She is also the co-artistic director of ARCA, a film festival dedicated to art and experimental cinema, hosted at the MACA Museum for the past four years.

MARC BUCHY

Marc Buchy, born in 1988, is a contemporary artist living and working in Brussels. He graduated in Fine Arts from Luca School of Arts in Brussels in 2012 and continued his studies at IHEAP in New York in 2015. His work has been exhibited in institutions such as CENTRALE for Contemporary Art in Brussels and La Friche la Belle de Mai in Marseille. Through conceptual installations and performances, his practice explores the interactions between language, perception, and environment.
