ALBERTA'S ROOM

In 1984 the father of American soul star Marvin Gaye murdered his son in front of his mother, Alberta. This family tragedy is seen here from the point of view of the woman who witnessed it, who is going through her grief in a flat in Ostend, the town her son had chosen to rebuild his life a few years earlier. In a disturbing black and white and with an anxiety-inducing soundtrack, the Ostend flat, filled with photos and memories, is the theatre of her inner drama, a confined journey.
