A political and cinematic diary of exile, where images become a weapon against erasure.
In 2018, a Vietnamese filmmaker and democracy activist is forced into exile after being tortured for his political engagement. After five years without papers in Thailand, he reaches Europe, where he encounters new forms of control and precarity.
Working under the pseudonym Socrates Saint-Wulfstan Drakos, he combines his own footage with colonial archives, propaganda and political films. Between diary and essay film, Unerasable! turns exile into a struggle to preserve what power seeks to erase.
